Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter has lost appeal against 6 years ban following the biggest football scandal shaking the world.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Monday said ruled that Blatter had authorized payments to Michael Platini, then the European football boss, worth over US$2 million (1.57 million pound) the amounted to "undue gifts" and therefore violated FIFA's code of ethnics.
Blatter has resigned last year in June after several dozen football officials include FIFA executive committee members and former members. Blatter had been indicated in the United State on graft charges.
Blatter said "I have accept it now. I have got to stage where I have struggled enough, I have worked enough."
"I do hope that at future FIFA Congress, somebody will stand up and say 'perhaps president Blatter is not so bad'."
